Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground takes us to the title Storm Ground - a dark land that is an arena for the forces of life, death and chaos. During the game we take control over one of the factions fighting for influence in this land and we fight bloody battles, striving for total domination over our enemies.
Before starting the game in Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground we have to choose which side of the conflict we will stand on. We can stand at the head of the Stormcast Eternals, immortal warriors created by Sigmar himself to fight against the hordes flooding the lands of mortals, lead the forces of death called Nighthaunt, whose ranks are filled with predatory ghosts, phantoms and wraiths, and fight for victory as bloodthirsty monsters - Maggotkin. Then there's nothing left to do but to decide which hero we will play (this is important because the hero will be our basic and strongest unit on the battlefield) and start the actual gameplay.
The core of the game are turn-based battles on arenas covered by a grid of hexes. The key to success is developing effective tactics based on the strengths and weaknesses of your chosen faction. The Stormcast Eternals' strengths lie in their heavy weaponry and powerful units (led by dragon riders), while the Nighthaunt shower their opponents with a multitude of soldiers, and the Maggotkin pollute the battlefields and weaken their enemies.
