GPU Mining Software Earns Pennies. The Same Card Earns Many Times More in AI EARN

GPU mining software doesn't decide what you earn: the coin's network sets how much you mine, not the program. An RTX 4090 on Zano, the highest-revenue coin for that card, mines $0.03 an hour, or $22 a month running around the clock. The same card in AI EARN in the GamerHash AI app gets $0.41 per task hour at 100% work, 13.7 times more: $148 a month at 12 task hours a day.

Best GPU mining software in 2026: AI EARN still pays 7.4 to 20.3 times more

All mining software does the same job: it runs the coin's algorithm on your GPU and sends the results to the network or a pool. How many coins you get depends on your card's speed on that algorithm, the network difficulty and the block reward. Programs differ in supported algorithms, ease of use and fees, but none of them meaningfully changes what the network pays.

That is why the table has no "software" column. For every card we take the highest-revenue coin: the RTX 5090 mines the most, $29 a month, the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB the least, $6. Next to it is AI EARN on the same card: 7.4 to 20.3 times more per hour. Once you pay for electricity, mining loses money on all 11 GPUs.

How GPU mining software works: your card does the work, the network sets the pay

Mining software, or a miner, runs the chosen coin's algorithm on your graphics card. It sends the results to a pool: a server that combines the power of many miners and splits the rewards by contribution. The rewards go to the wallet address you enter in the software or pool settings.

To start, you need a GPU, software that supports the coin's algorithm and your card, a pool account and a wallet. Desktop apps with a graphical interface, such as NiceHash, walk you through setup and switch algorithms on their own. Command-line miners, such as lolMiner, need you to set the coin, the pool and the wallet address by hand.

The software decides how convenient mining is, not how much it pays. An RTX 5080 on Zano, the highest-revenue coin on that card, mines $0.028 an hour whichever program you use.

AI EARN needs no mining software and no wallet to start: you set up the GamerHash AI app in under 5 minutes, and an RTX 4070 Ti Super gets $0.30 per task hour in it at 100% work, 15.0 times more than mining. Check your card's rate.

Free mining software isn't free: fees take a cut of already small revenue

Most mining software is a free download. Developers earn from a dev fee: for part of the time, the software mines to their address. The pool takes its own fee from rewards. Both rates are listed on the project's and the pool's websites, so check them before you start.

Fees come out of the revenue, and the revenue is small: the RTX 5090, the strongest card in the table, mines $29 a month running around the clock. Every percent of fees is a slice of that.

The GamerHash AI app is free too, but AI EARN pays for task hours, not for mined coins. The balance is kept in GUSD, an internal unit equal to 1 USD, so its value doesn't depend on any cryptocurrency's price.

The RTX 5090 gets $189 a month in AI EARN at 12 task hours a day, while mining around the clock brings in $29 on it. Download the GamerHash AI app.

Crypto mining app for PC vs GamerHash AI: AI EARN pays per task hour, not per coin

A crypto mining app for PC earns whatever the mined coin is worth at the moment. AI EARN pays a rate per hour of AI tasks. An RTX 3090 Ti gets $0.17 per task hour in AI EARN at 100% work, while an hour of mining Zano, the highest-revenue coin on that card, brings in $0.023.

Other differences:

  • Earnings in GUSD, not in a coin. Mined coins gain or lose value with the market; the AI EARN balance is counted in a unit equal to 1 USD.
  • No wallet to start. Every completed task is added to your account balance. You only need a wallet to withdraw in crypto: USDC goes out on BNB Chain only, GHX on Ethereum or BNB Chain (how to cash out).
  • No round-the-clock load. Tasks come when there is demand, and the app runs them in the background while you are not using the PC. When you launch a game, it suggests pausing; you resume with one click.
  • Games and gift cards. Spend the balance in the Store or withdraw it in crypto, with no bank transfers.
  • Requirements: an NVIDIA RTX card with 24 GB VRAM and 32 GB RAM, or with 16 GB VRAM (RTX 40 or 50 series) and 64 GB RAM, on Windows 11 (full requirements).

An RTX 4080 gets $0.33 in AI EARN for every task hour at 100% work, 15.7 times more than an hour of mining. Rates for every card.

Mining software and antivirus: the block protects you from hidden miners

Most antivirus programs flag mining software as a potentially unwanted application (PUA) and block or remove it. The reason: criminals use the same programs, installing miners on other people's PCs in secret and mining to their own address (cryptojacking).

That is why you should download mining software only from the project's official website or the developers' repository, and check the file checksums. A version from a forum, a guide or a video that "mines faster" is a classic trap: it may mine to someone else's address or install malware.

No "faster" version raises your revenue either: the coin's network sets how much you mine, and a modified copy can at most mine part of the time to someone else's address.

GamerHash mining software was switched off on January 31, 2026: AI EARN replaced it

From 2017, the GamerHash app let users mine crypto with their PCs. On January 31, 2026, we switched mining off and decided to use our users' computing power for AI tasks only.

If you are looking for the GamerHash miner, download the GamerHash AI app instead. It doesn't mine crypto: it runs AI tasks in AI EARN and uses your PC's power only with your consent. You sign in with your GamerHash account.

An RTX 4060 Ti 16GB gets 20.3 times more per hour in AI EARN than from mining: $0.17 instead of $0.008, at 100% work. Check your card's rate.

Instead of mining software: AI EARN in 3 steps

  1. Check your card

AI EARN runs on NVIDIA RTX cards with 24 GB VRAM and 32 GB RAM, or with 16 GB VRAM (RTX 40 or 50 series) and 64 GB RAM, on Windows 11. AMD cards are not supported.

  2. Close the mining software and download GamerHash AI

Mining software keeps the card under load around the clock, so close it before you install. The GamerHash AI app is free, and setup takes less than 5 minutes.

  3. Leave your PC on for AI tasks

Every completed task is added to your balance in GUSD, with no wallet needed to start. Exchange earnings for games and gift cards in the Store or withdraw them in crypto.

GPU mining software: questions and answers

  • Software downloaded from the project's official website does what it says, but it keeps the GPU under load around the clock and heats up the hardware. The risk is copies from unofficial sources: they can mine to someone else's address or install malware. This is general information.
